It’s a Boy!

We are happy to announce that Denise, the Mentor Mother who shared her inspirational story in the recent A World with mothers2mothers video, gave birth to a baby boy on March 20th. His name is Siyamthanda, which in Xhosa means “we love him.” His eight-year-old sister, Lina, reports that his big talent right now is breastfeeding, which is all he wants to do when he’s awake. As for Denise, she admits it’s been challenging learning to be a mother to a “tiny person” again, but says that both she and the baby are doing wonderfully.
