We are looking forward to an exciting week at AIDS2020—the 23rd International AIDS Conference, which is the world’s largest conference on HIV and AIDS—taking place virtually from 6-10 July. Here are some of the highlights:
On the opening day of conference, Monday 6 July, m2m Spokeswoman and M&E Officer, Limpho Nteko from Lesotho, will be featured on Virtual DAILY, a 15-minute show with high-profile guests and community members from around the world. Limpho’s segment will break down stereotypes and misinformation about people living with and affected by HIV. (Update: This segment has now been posted on Youtube here. Scroll forward to 15 mins in to see Limpho in action)

6th HIV-Exposed Uninfected Child and Adolescent Workshop:
m2m’s AIDS2020 activities actually kicked off last week, when m2m Spokeswoman and District Coordinator, Colile Mashaba from Mpumlanga, South Africa, participated in this pre-conference event on Wednesday, 1 July. Colilie shared her story about disclosing her HIV status to one of her sons, and participated in a panel moderated by Laurie Ackerman Gulaid, UNICEF’s Regional HIV Advisor for Eastern and Southern Africa.
